LOVE their Indian currys, was very hesitant at first ordering from a “pizza” restaurant but have yet to be disappointed and continue to come back. I’ve had delivery and pick up, both are great, their mutter paneer is amazing and samosas are so good, my partner got Gyros and also had great reviews of the food. Over all hidden gem in this area
We were staying overnight to fly out early in the morning from BWI and decided to order pizza . We tried their New York double Pizza... Double cheese. Double pepperoni. Great crust .. delivered hot . It was DELICIOUS!!!!
[See update below - 9/15/23] This place is a Sleeper! I came upon it by accident - a pizza & grill take-out restaurant with Indian food? I love good Indian food and thought, well, I'll give it a try. I wasn't expecting much but started by digesting the menu - it's large - 4 1/4 pages packed! One & 1/4 pages have some 55 Indian & related dishes. The Samosa appetizer (2, very large) were delicious. Never had ones this big but they compared favorably with the ones made by "the best Indian cook" who taught me how to cook and eat Indian. I ordered the Naan - it was fresh and warm and perfect - and the Dal Tadka. I ordered it hot (spicy) which was just right for me (also available medium and mild). It came with basmati rice. It was excellent! I ate it with the Naan and took the rice and half the Dal home for another excellent meal of leftovers. The dining area decor doesn't get any points - it's standard take out/ pizza parlor - and I didn't try the American side of the menu, but I will be going back to try the other Indian dishes. It may take me awhile - I live 3 hr away. [Previous post 2019. Update 9/15/23: I haven’t had an opportunity to eat here since before Covid started and I haven’t been flying by way of BWI (Baltimore). More recent reviews may be more accurate than this one. Things change, but I enjoyed A-1 when I was last there.]
This Pizza and Grill is A One! Their specialty Pizza was made well done, and the thermo hot wings aren't that hot, but are hot enough to make your nose run. Most importantly, they're very tasty. The mozzarella sticks also tasted good too. I am glad that they included the celery sticks as well and their wings are a good deal and should be a backbone to this place. The staff is hard working and lively and hopefully they maintain the success and large menu.
There was a mixup with my order (I used the wrong website) and my money was sent to the old owner. I called and they were so kind, going the extra mile to give me a free meal. I will definitely be returning (and calling in my order this time)! The pizza is delicious and the owners and workers are so kind.
Great food. There was a mix-up (no fault of A 1 restaurant) in the beginning as there was an issue with an old website that belonged to a previous order. The female at the restaurant was courteous & explained that they have new owners. After the mix-up was reconciled, my order was taken & delivered to my hotel room door. The food was DELICIOUS - not joking. My pizza fries was seasoned just right. There was the perfect ratio of cheese & sauce. I was full off of that. I'll be eating my chicken cheesesteak for lunch tomorrow.

Unexpected place for pizza. Read a previous review saying it was good. Got a large pepperoni and it was in fact really good. At first glance it looks like they only serve Indian food, it’s two restaurants in ones. The young man running the front was very nice and attentive.
Alright, so to be completely honest, when we walked in I thought we were strictly in an Indian food establishment. We were greeted by very friendly staff at the counter and we ordered a 14” 1/2 plain and pepperoni pizza to keep things simple. We decided to dine in for lunch and had plenty of space, staff checked on us to make sure everything was good. I should have started by stating that I’m from the Jersey Shore and know what a good pizza tastes like, so if you are looking for that Jersey Shore Pizza this isn’t the place. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised that the pizza tasted sweet and the crust was damn near perfect. Very happy we decided to take a chance on this place and I would definitely recommend coming here for some pizza.
